Welcome to pay to play paid ads strategies. I'm Stacey Hughes. And I love using paid ads to grow my business. After discovering the power of paid ads, I became obsessed. And now I've made a business out of it. And I want to share new strategies. So we can use the power of pay to play to really amplify your social media content, and go from being the world's best kept secret to getting you the visibility you deserve. Let's get started.
Today, we're going to talk about how we can create as a slow offer. And you're probably thinking What does a slow offer mean? So slow stands for self liquidating offer. So what that means is that the cost of what you receive for your low cost offer is then offset by the cost of the ads. So generally, you want your low cost offer to be something that's under $50. So I've seen clients do it with $47 $7 $9, whatever you want to do here. So it's something that you maybe it's one of your lead magnets, or maybe it's a bonus module in your course. But it's something that you can offer for a low value. So what you want to do is then run ads to it. And the goal of these ads is to offset the ad cost with the revenue that you receive from the low cost offer. And you're probably thinking, what's the point in that, but what it does is it builds a quality list of people, because these people then have made some sort of dollar commitment to you. And they can learn more about you this way. And it's not just people that are down, you know, downloading your freebie. And then you know, unsubscribing for your list from your list. So they purchase something, they've got a bit of a taster about what you are about and what you offer. So really good way to test the waters. And then this by using this type of ad campaign, you're then offsetting the ad costs. So it's actually costing you nothing to acquire these new, hopefully good quality leads that go on to then buy your signature offer or your you know, the next thing that you want them to purchase. So you really it's a chance to give them a sample of your signature offer. So examples that you could do that do this for is maybe a membership trial, or mini course, you could bundle up some templates, you can have a playbook, or maybe an ebook. So yes, it's usually something more than just a PDF. So you want to sort of give something of value, and that there's a desired outcome so that your ideal customer can get a quick win from so they're paying a little bit of money in in return, they're receiving something of value. But then the upside is it's paying for your ads. And also they're getting to know you and when you then move on to something it's something that they You actually want to purchase. So it's not good for fast, less growth. Because you do have to spend a bit of money up front, you can't just go all in on this, it's something you need to start small, like four or $500 a month is what I recommend, start small with this. And then as it starts converting, then you can scale it up. But it's so in terms of the growth that you get from a free lead magnet, it's not as fast as that. So the sort of the pitfalls of it. Now, it's, yeah, there's, there's lots of troubleshooting that you could do if your ads are not self liquidating. So you would look at your ad copy, and your creative. So ideally, it's got to be something that people may have paid for organically bursts. So that's a very good, good first step to do is sell it to your own people first. So offer it to people on your email list, offer it to people on Facebook and Instagram, your followers and get them downloading it or purchasing it first. And then you know, it's something that people want. And you've validated that it's something that people will pay for, then you want to put it onto an ad and you put it on to a conversion ad. And then yeah, so it's optimized for conversions. And then Facebook, we're gonna go and find people that telling more to download your thing and pay money for it. So I'd love to know if you give this a go. It's something we're talking about as far as membership, and people are setting up all the time. I've had clients that have set it up for one of their low cost offers like a challenge, or a virtual retreat. So yeah, it's definitely something worth exploring. And let me know how you go with that. So that's all we have time for today. Thank you so much for listening to my very first episode of pay to play. Please subscribe and let me know in a review what you think and pay to play so far. I'd love to know. Thank you
